Here is a Timberwolves trade idea that could land Minnesota a floor-spacing backup center to replace some of what Naz Reid gave them.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed guard Stephen Thompson to an Exhibit 10 contract. The Wolves also waived guard Jules Bernard, who they had previously signed to an Exhibit 10 deal. Thompson has spent the last three seasons with the Wisconsin Herd of the G League. The 6-foot-4 guard has also played several seasons in Puerto Rico, in addition to suiting up for the Puerto Rican national team. Both Thompson and Bernard are expected to join the Iowa Wolves for the upcoming G League season.
