Celtics Trade Xavier Tillman Sr. To Hornets, Get Out Of Luxury Tax
The Boston Celtics have traded Xavier Tillman Sr. to the Charlotte Hornets and are now out of the luxury tax. The Hornets will receive $3.5 million in cash as part of the deal. The Celtics entered the offseason in 2025 well into the second apron, but managed to unload several significant salaries and yet have remained competitive in the Eastern Conference without Jayson Tatum.
