Jusuf Nurkic will be out at least four weeks after suffering a partial plantar plate tear of second toe in his right foot. Nurkic re-signed with the Jazz in the offseason on a three-year, $22 million deal. Nurkic appeared in 41 games with the Jazz last season, averaging 10.9 points, 10.4 rebounds and 4.8 assists in 26.4 minutes across 41 games. Nurkic was again expected to play a major role for the Jazz at center following the departure of Walker Kessler to the Los Angeles Lakers.
