The Minnesota Lynx picked things up from where they’d left off before the World Cup, extending their losing streak. For the Liberty, and for Breanna Stewart specifically, a significant part of that victory came down to the defensive effort the team deployed against a player like Olivia Miles.
The Minnesota Lynx suffered another defeat on Friday when they clashed with the New York Liberty. The Lynx remain top of the WNBA for the time being, but they have now failed to win their last three games, most recently falling to a 93-81 defeat at the hands of the New York-based outfit.
Breanna Stewart scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Jonquel Jones had 18 points and 10 rebounds, and the New York Liberty beat the slumping Minnesota Lynx 93-81 on Friday night in a possible first-round playoff matchup.
