The WNBA and the players' union will meet Monday in New York for the first time in several weeks to try to move the stalled collective bargaining negotiations forward. Kelsey Plum, who is vice president of the players union, mentioned the meeting to reporters while she was preparing for a game in Philadelphia with the 3-on-3 league Unrivaled. Plum will be joined at the meeting by other members of the executive council, including Nneka Ogwumike and Napheesa Collier, as well as union leadership.

Brittney Griner wants to remain relevant with her fans, especially amid the WNBA offseason. With the league still negotiating a new collective bargaining agreement with the players union and a lockout looming, stars such as Griner need to make their own moves outside the WNBA. Griner is playing in Unrivaled, an independent 3-on-3 league founded by WNBA stars Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart.

WNBPA president Nneka Ogwumike and VP Napheesa Collier applaud player solidarity but bemoan a lack of progress in CBA negotiations.

Unrivaled president Alex Bazzell didn't rule out the possibility of the 3-on-3 league partnering with the WNBA in the future.

Three months after her exit interview in which she called for new WNBA leadership, Lynx star Napheesa Collier said that while "nothing has changed" at the league level, she remains confident in the future as the players' union works toward a new CBA.
