New York Knicks second-round pick Tyler Nickel is expected to join the team for next season instead of returning to college, according to Ian Begley of SNY. Nickel, who was selected with the No. 47 pick in June, played four years of college with North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Vanderbilt. Nickel was part of the 2022 class of players who were granted a fifth year of eligibility after a ruling last month. Nickel averaged 12.2 points in Summer League on 41.3% from three.
