The Dallas Mavericks are exploring ways to keep Dwight Powell on the roster heading into this season, sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The 35-year-old signed a one-year, partially guaranteed deal with the Mavs last week. The Mavs currently have the maximum of 15 standard contracts on the roster. Powell, the longest-tenured player on the Mavs, averaged 3.3 points and 4.1 rebounds last season.
