Mike D’Antoni was inducted into the Hall of Fame this weekend as part of the 2026 class. He knows that the primary reason he is getting in is the philosophical change in the league that he helped usher in when he brought the “Seven Seconds or Less” philosophy over from his coaching days in Italy, […]

Bucks Would Peyton Watson make the Bucks considerably better next season? Maybe not. But that might not really be the point. The Bucks have been linked to Watson for more than a month, and Tre Allen of NBA On SI examines what the 23-year-old forward could mean for a Milwaukee team that has entered a […] The post NBA Notes: Bucks, Peyton Watson, Pelicans, Jordan Poole, Bulls appeared first on Hoops Wire.
Cavaliers For all the noise around the Cavaliers this summer, Evan Mobley has somehow become one of the quieter parts of the conversation. John Hobbs of Cavs On SI argues that probably shouldn’t be the case. Mobley averaged 18.2 points and 9.0 rebounds last season, then remained productive through Cleveland’s run to the Eastern Conference […] The post NBA Notes: Cavs, Evan Mobley, Kings, Keegan Murray, Jazz appeared first on Hoops Wire.
Timberwolves Anthony Edwards isn’t talking championship just yet. First, he wants to see what the new-look Timberwolves actually look like together. Minnesota made one of the summer’s biggest changes by acquiring LaMelo Ball in the four-team trade that sent Naz Reid to Charlotte and Julius Randle to Brooklyn. That gives the Wolves a dynamic new […] The post NBA Notes: Timberwolves, Anthony Edwards, Mavericks, offseason, Grizzlies appeared first on Hoops Wire.
The Lakers now know their 2026-27 regular schedule – the longest road trips (the annual Grammy swing in late January/early February), the long homestands (three separate five-game stretches in December, March and April) and the competitive breaks. They also know the marquee matchups in which Luka Doncic will be the featured player, leading a roster...

The Cavaliers apparently won’t be getting an A for their Dennis Schroder trade. But ESPN believes they did slightly better than the other guys. ESPN’s Zach Kram gave Cleveland a B for its deal with the Hornets, while Charlotte received a B-minus. For the Cavs, Kram writes that the trade was primarily about money and […] The post Cavs get favorable marks for Dennis Schroder trade appeared first on Hoops Wire.
Thought this was an interesting list, so I wanted to share with the class. It is based on 2025 stats and contract numbers so it doesn’t account for new deals. I know it’s expected that players getting starter level minutes on cheap contracts are going to be high on this list. But it’s still interesting to see KPJ at 16, Rollins at 20, and Jaquez at 21. It seems that a lot of people consider KPJ to be basically salary filler. It was vindicating to see him this high on the list as a Bucks fan t...

Photo via Kobe Bryant/Twitter | Photo via Kobe Bryant/Twitter There aren’t many great memories of the Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard era. What was supposed to be another title window opening for Bryant ended up being a season referred to as the Dwightmare. There was tension between Kobe and Dwight, players couldn’t stay healthy and it ended with a torn Achilles and a first-round sweep. Time hasn’t really made that season look any better, but there was a kernel of joy in the midst of a downtime...
