The Utah Jazz are poised to make their franchise’s first playoff run since 2022. Unfortunately for fans of the purple and baby blue — and for three years, neon yellow — there will be four fewer beat reporters covering the team than there were just one year ago. On Thursday, the Deseret News’ Sarah Todd announced on X that she was being laid off after seven years in Salt Lake City. I let everybody down not publishing notes in a week, thinking there was nothing happening around the League but still saving clippings into a document that ended up growing monstrous. The Minnesota Timberwolves have no plans to trade Donte DiVincenzo this season as he recovers from his torn Achilles suffered during last year's playoffs. DiVincenzo is on a $12.5 million expiring contract as he enters Year 4 of his four-year, $46.9 million contract signed in 2023 with the New York Knicks. There is some level of optimism that DiVincenzo could return later in the season, but there is caution not to apply pressure on him to return too early. "In talking to people in Minnesota t...
