The expansion Toronto Tempo are struggling for wins in their first season, but help could be on the way soon with the return of Brittney Sykes. The Tempo guard has been out for two months with a left plantar fascia injury she suffered in a June 16 game against the Indiana Fever. Toronto was in the mix for a playoff spot before the skid that has left the Tempo at 10-23 for the season, the third-worst record in the league.

Assuming the Toronto Raptors' trade to bring Kawhi Leonard back north of the border goes through at some point—which still seems the safest assumption—they should feel they have a decent shot at competing in the NBA's improved Eastern Conference.

Azzi Fudd watched on as Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings dropped their third straight game on Sunday, falling to 19-14 on the 2026 WNBA season after a 103-90 loss to Olivia Miles and the Minnesota Lynx. Now, the Wings will look to get back on track when they return to Dallas to host Marina Mabrey and the Toronto Tempo on Wednesday.
