Sean Sweeney landed interviews for more than a few NBA head coaching vacancies over the last few years, and many of them seemed the same. Talking to Orlando, he said, was different. The Chicago Bulls tried to strike gold in North Carolina again and the Milwaukee Bucks started their post-Giannis Antetokounmpo era in the first round of the NBA draft on Tuesday. Both the Bulls and Bucks had two top-15 picks Tuesday to highlight the first night of the draft in the Central Division. Chicago selected North Carolina forward Caleb Wilson with the fourth overall pick and took Texas forward Dailyn Swain at No. 15.

The Washington Wizards moved up in the second round to draft Tennessee forward Felix Okpara on Wednesday night, one night after making BYU forward AJ Dybantsa the No. 1 pick in the NBA draft. The Orlando Magic waived Jonathan Isaac on Saturday, ending the former first-round pick's injury-shortened time with the team. The Magic took Isaac with the No. 6 pick in the 2017 draft. After playing in 75 games in 2018-19 in a promising second season, the 6-foot-10 forward tore his left ACL in August 2020 during the NBA's restart and missed the next two seasons while recovering from surgery.
