Jevon Carter has agreed to sign with the Orlando Magic for the remainder of the season. The Magic had to address their point guard depth after trading away Tyus Jones in a luxury tax move at the deadline. Carter appeared in 23 games with the Chicago Bulls this season before he was recently waived, averaging 5.4 points in 11.1 minutes. Playing 29 minutes in his seventh game after missing eight games with a right knee injury, Suggs also blocked four shots and had three steals. Egor Demin led the Nets with a career-high 26 points, shooting 6 of 10 from 3-point range.

The Nets’ lineup didn’t change after the trade deadline. Neither did their fortunes.

The Nets released guard Cam Thomas, allowing him to enter free agency and sign with any other team, sources told ESPN.
