Taj Gibson has been waived by the New Orleans Pelicans. Gibson was acquired by the Pelicans on Tuesday from the Memphis Grizzlies as part of the Jordan Hawkins trade. Gibson had signed a multi-year contract with the Grizzlies in February. Gibson appeared in 10 games with Memphis in his age-40 season, averaging 3.4 points and 2.7 rebounds in 9.7 minutes.
