We shipped a major visual overhaul. The goal: make Hoopsmachine feel like a proper news destination.
What changed
Cleaner design. Sharper edges, better spacing, and a more editorial feel. We wanted it to look like something you’d keep open in a tab all day.
Better dark mode. Every part of the site has been tuned for dark mode with proper contrast. Toggle it from the icon in the header.
More stories on screen. We increased the density so you can scan more stories without scrolling. Each story now shows you at a glance how many outlets are covering it and which ones.
Discussion section. When a story is being discussed on X/Twitter, Bluesky, or Reddit, we now surface those links directly on the story page.
Faster
The redesign also made things faster, especially on mobile. Pages load quicker and transitions are smoother.
